News
It has been an incredible start to the year for Hollows House, with so many of our students achieving fantastic results- academically, in sport, and in the performing arts. We are especially proud to see the overwhelming number of College values nominations being awarded to our Hollows students daily. Your hard work, leadership, and commitment to demonstrating respect, learning, and working together are truly making a difference. Keep up the fantastic work!
On Friday 7th of March, your Learning Habits reports were released, and we want to congratulate the many students who achieved outstanding results. Seeing your high average scores has made us immensely proud. Hollows has consistently set a high standard in academics, and we encourage you to continue striving for excellence. We will celebrate these achievements in our end-of-term Hollows House assembly, recognising students who have excelled in their Learning Habits reports and those who have received high values nominations.
A standout achievement this term was our triumph in the swimming pool! As the water house, Hollows once again dominated, winning the 2025 HPSC Swimming Carnival. Securing back-to-back victories in 2024 and 2025 is an incredible accomplishment, and it was the collective effort of so many students participating that led to our success. It’s inspiring to see the dedication and enthusiasm you bring to whole-school events. Representing our house with pride and giving our best in all areas is what makes Hollows so great!
Performing Arts Spotlight:
Our production rehearsals for Bring It On are well underway, with a large number of students involved in bringing this exciting show to life! Rehearsals will continue throughout the term, as well as during the holidays, as we prepare for what promises to be a fantastic production. We can’t wait to see the final performance- keep up the hard work, everyone!
Additionally, many students are learning a musical instrument at school. If you’re interested in picking up an instrument, it’s not too late to get involved! See Ryan Evangelista and the music team or come and chat with us in Hollows to find out more information.
Looking Ahead:
As we approach the end of the term, we look forward to Student-Led Conferences. This is a valuable opportunity for you and your families to receive direct feedback from your teachers and discuss ways to improve in your subject areas. We encourage all students to take advantage of these meetings to set goals and reflect on your progress.
For our Year 7 students, an exciting event is on the horizon- the Formula One Grand Prix Excursion! This will be a fantastic experience and a great way to celebrate your first term at HPSC. We can’t wait for you to enjoy this unique opportunity!
A reminder to all students that the Hollows House team is always here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns, or if your parents need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can visit us in the Hollows Office, send us a message on Teams, or give us a call - we’re always happy to help.
Lastly, we encourage all parents and families to stay active on Compass. If you haven’t signed in yet or need login details, please contact the front office for assistance. Compass is essential for receiving key updates, booking Student-Led Conferences, viewing reports, and monitoring attendance.
Thank you all for your dedication and enthusiasm- we look forward to celebrating more success as the year progresses!
