Student Led Conferences
Dear Students and Families,
We are excited to announce a new format for our Student Led Conferences this year. The Conferences will take place over two days:
- Tuesday, 25th March
- Wednesday, 26th March
Please note: There will be no regular classes on these days.
Why are we changing the format?
Research shows that when families/carers and teachers work together, students experience greater learning gains. We aim to strengthen these connections through the Conferences while encouraging students to reflect on their learning journey.
Senior Student Conferences (years 10-12)
- will be held in Freeman House
- Students will present their learning and reflections to families/carers and teachers.
Junior Student Conferences (years 7-9)
- students will present their Learning Portfolio subject pages sharing their goals and reflections
- In the Term 3 Conferences, Junior students will be presenting their portfolios to their Connect or another significant teacher to share their learning and growth over the year
- Further information will be shared about this exciting development later in the year
Key Information:
- Conferences now run over two days to allow all students and families/carers to attend
- ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED even if a family/carer cannot attend. Rolls will be marked, and attendance will be recorded for one day
- Students are to wear full school uniform
In the Conferences:
- Students will reflect on their achievements, areas for improvement, and future goals.
- Families/carers will engage with students and teachers to discuss learning progress.
Booking Information:

We look forward to seeing you at the Student Led Conferences and working together to support student learning.
2025 National eSmart Week at HPSC
This year our College will continue to participate in the National eSmart Week. This is an initiative of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation and will be held from Monday 31 March to Sunday 6 April.
This year’s National eSmart Week theme is ‘Be Heard. Be eSmart’ and is about young people confidently shaping the digital spaces they want to be in. The week from Monday, 31st March to Sunday 6th April celebrates the work schools have done to help guide our young people in navigating these complex and dynamic digital spaces with caution and confidence.
Staff and students will be completing a range of activities that encourages us all to reflect on our use of digital technologies and to consider how we can all continue to create positive digital footprints when online.
