Swimming Carnival
On Friday the 22nd of 2025 St Mary’s best swimmers from years 3 to 6 went to Keilor East Leisure Centre to represent St Mary’s at the District Swimming Carnival.
Here are a few people’s perspectives on how it went:
Evie: Once I got there I saw there were so many schools competing against us. It was a bit overwhelming but I pushed through and got to the next round!
Eadie: I was nervous and excited about doing backstroke in the medley. There were so many schools competing but I was so excited when our team came first and we got into the next round!
Bella: I thought that everyone had a great time and everyone tried their best. I was really nervous for my first race and then I got used to it. I thought everyone had such great sportsmanship and encouraged each other.
Gus: I thought it went really well and everyone tried their hardest and swam to their best ability. There was a lot of great sportsmanship and I thought everyone had a great time.
We all had a great time but at the end of day before we left we waited to find out who won. And it was……
Obviously ST MARY’S!!!
We would like to thank all the teachers who volunteered to come to help and support us while we all swam our hearts out.
