Week 6 Mission Lenten Fundraisers

Last year, our College community raised over $9,000 during Shrove Tuesday and Lenten Fundraising Day, with all proceeds donated to Australian Marist Solidarity (AMS). This year, AMS is directing our support to St Joseph’s School Tenaru in the Solomon Islands, helping to provide essential resources and opportunities for students in need. All our stalls and games will be organised and run by our amazing Year 12 leaders.
Both our Shrove Tuesday and Lenten Fundraising Day will be cashless events meaning that students can pay for all the delicious foods and drinks using their ID cards.
2025 Shrove Tuesday
Next Tuesday is Shrove Tuesday – commonly referred to as Pancake Tuesday. As has been tradition at the college, the Mission leaders will be selling pancakes with maple syrup for $3.50 from the CLE undercroft and the primary building during First Break. All the money raised goes to Australian Marist Solidarity.
2025 Lenten Fundraising Day
It is not long now until our Lenten Fundraising Day on Friday, the 7 March! Students are invited to wear free dress to school for a $2 donation via Monitor. The fundraising day offers a variety of stalls and games for students to enjoy:
- Rush’s Sausage Sizzle and Hoop Toss
- Foley’s Snow Cones and Rugby Toss
- Ephrem’s Ice Creams and Hacky Sack Throw
- Ridley’s Fairy Floss and Putt Putt
- Harold’s Lolly Bags and Cross Bar Challenge
- Slattery’s Donuts and Bowling
- Gilroy’s Soft Drinks and Magnetic Darts
- Ignatius’ Garlic Bread and Shoot-a-hoop
Plus, we will be selling Pizza and Fish and Chips from the tuckshop during lunchtime, with profits going to Australian Marist Solidarity.
Game tickets are just $1 each, with exciting chances to win delicious chocolates! Remember to top-up your ID cards to ensure you can buy food and drinks and take part in the fun.
Please note: There will be no other items being sold from the tuckshop during break one except for the Pizza and Fish and Chips and limited options during second break.
