This term has been very busy, with many opportunities for our students to engage in meaningful learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.
I was privileged to attend the local Manningham schools’ ANZAC ceremony alongside our School Captains, together with Karlie and Jo. In a particularly special moment, our captains laid a wreath that had been thoughtfully handmade by students and a florist (past parent) earlier that morning. Their respectful participation was a wonderful reflection of our school community.
The following day, we held our own ANZAC Day assembly, where we were honoured to welcome special guest Anthony Calinan, Co-President of Rotary Manningham City, who addressed the school community. As part of this assembly, we introduced a new award, ANZAC Medals, which were presented to one student in each section: Junior, Middle, and Senior. These awards recognise students who consistently demonstrate our school values of being Safe, Respectful, and striving to do their best. Importantly, the recipients also embody the ANZAC qualities of mateship and respect in their daily interactions with both staff and peers.
Our Year 7 students were fortunate to enjoy beautiful weather during their camp at Phillip Island in Week 2. Amisha and I had the opportunity to visit and see students enthusiastically participating in a range of adventurous activities. It was wonderful to witness their teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment. A big thank you to all staff who supported the camp and ensured it was such a memorable experience for our students.
In addition, the school building project continues to progress. The roof has now been completed, windows are about to be installed, and internal walls are being erected. Electrical and plumbing rough-ins are also underway, marking another exciting phase in the development.

We look forward to continuing this positive momentum throughout the term.
