Creating Futures Together
Congratulations to all students who have completed their instrumental assessments over the past few weeks. It was evident that most of our students had dedicated time to prepare for this assessment, which was fantastic to see and hear! Teachers will go through results during lessons, and can be viewed on Learning Tasks on Compass.
Early next term the Stage Band will be performing at the Arts and Technology show, and our Beginner Concert band will be focusing on preparing for their VSMF performance in November. We cannot stress enough the benefits that regular home practice will bring to a student’s individual playing, and therefore contribution they are able to make to an ensemble. Short practice sessions a few times a week are better than no practice at all. Students knowing their individual parts makes a big difference to what an ensemble can achieve in their rehearsals.
If you have not yet added the Spring Concert to your calendar, please do so! It will be held on Tuesday November 19th in the Bunjil Centre, and will be the final opportunity for the year for parents and friends to hear all of our main ensembles.
