Learning & Teaching in 3/4G

As we wrap up a fantastic Term 3, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the amazing highlights that our class, 3/4G, had the privilege of experiencing.

Reptile Encounters

We were thrilled to have a visit from Reptile Encounters. We had the exciting opportunity to see and learn about various reptiles, including squirrel gliders, tawny frogmouths, frilled-neck lizards, pythons, and even a crocodile. The highlight was being able to touch the animals while learning about their habitats, adaptations and survival strategies in the wild. Through this hands-on experience, we explored a variety of adaptations that help Australian reptiles thrive in their environment.

Grandparents and Special Friends’ Day

We had a heartwarming day celebrating grandparents and special friends. We read the beautiful story 'The Remember Balloons' By Jessie Oliveros and after, we took some time to reminisce about the cherished memories we've created with our grandparents and special friends. To capture these precious moments, we created drawings in balloons. We decorated these with the help of our special people.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program was a culinary delight! We relished the experience of picking fresh ingredients from our veggie patch, cooking delicious dishes and, most importantly, enjoying the scrumptious food we prepared with our amazing parent volunteers.

Swimming Program

Our swimming program was a splashing success! We worked hard to improve our swimming skills while learning essential water safety tips. We had so much fun during every swimming session and thoroughly enjoyed riding the bus each day.

Animal Showcase

We became researchers and authors as we created information reports about our favourite animals. Each of us chose an animal we were curious about and gathered interesting facts from books and online sources. We then shared our newfound knowledge through engaging presentations, such as Canva slides and Google Slides. Additionally, we enhanced our presentations with creative pieces, including artworks, models and poems etc.

Book Week

Book Week transported us into magical realms! We dressed up in captivating costumes, explored enchanting stories and engaged in fun and creative activities inspired by the books we adore.

Athletics Day

Athletics Day was another highlight of the term! We each had the opportunity to choose four events to compete in, including both track and field events. For some of us, it was our first time trying these different sports, making the experience even more exciting and challenging. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with fun and friendly competition!

Art Show

The art show was a true highlight of the term! We loved creating unique art pieces during our art lessons, as well as in the classroom, where we worked together on a special class collaborative project. Throughout the process, we improved our artistic skills and explored new techniques. Most of all, we enjoyed sharing our creativity and talents with our families at the art show, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Thank you for taking this journey through our Term 3 adventures with us. We thank our parents for their amazing support along the way. We've had a blast participating in these incredible moments and we hope you enjoyed hearing about them just as much.

Wishing you all a wonderful term break. We can't wait to see what Term 4 holds!
