Celebration Spot

Each week we love to celebrate any students who may have achieved something significant during sporting events, dancing, baptisms, theatre, music achievements etc. both inside school and outside school.

Please email reception@dcs.tas.edu.au with the details (we would love a photo too!) so we can celebrate together as a community.

Basketball Championships

Congratulations to Nick (Yr 7), who participated in the Basketball Australia U14 Club Championships in Melbourne at the end of Term 3 as part of Basketball Tasmania's team, the NW Devils.  Nick played extremely well and learned a lot from the experience.

Follow Your Dreams Dance Competition

During the school holidays Méabh  (Yr 5) competed in the Follow Your Dreams competition in Launceston in the Under 12 category.  There were a lot of competitors in this category and Méabh came away with the following awards:

2nd: Contemporary Solo

3rd: Ballet Solo

High Honourable Mention: Lyrical and Own Chorography solos

Honourable Mention: Jazz Solo

Méabh also danced in the troupe section and received 3rd place and an honourable mention.  Congratulations Méabh, what an amazing achievement!
