We are learning to understand the importance of healthy eating on our physical and mental wellbeing.
VOCABULARY
Healthy eating in childhood reduces your child's chance of developing health problems as they get older. A healthy, balanced diet includes foods from all 5 food groups: fruit, vegetables, grains, proteins and dairy. Foods high in sugar, saturated fat and salt aren't necessary for a healthy diet and should be limited.
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Research one of the 5 main food groups; vegetables, fruit, protein foods, grains, dairy.
Create a short presentation (1-2-minutes) in an informative format e.g. poster, booklet, brochure.
