District Athletics

SJV had 49 students compete at the Wellington District Athletics carnival last week.  Students ranged from Year 3 to Year 6, having qualifed by completing trials during PE lessons earlier this term.  

Competing at Interschool level provides our students a new challenge, and once again many of our students rose to the challenge.  We showed what amazing competitors we can be and displayed enthusiasm, persistence and great sportsmanship throughout the day.

We had many outstanding performances, and have 8 students who have now qualified for the Monash-Waverley Division Athletics early next term.  Congratulations to:

Jack R, Elise, Adrian, Kester, Dina, Angelika who all qualified for 1 event, and to Krishay and Caris who qualified for 2 events at Division - sensational effort!

We wish these students all the best at Division.
