The Grade 3/4 students are excitedly learning and practicing their t-ball skills as they prepare for the 3/4 T-Ball Championships playoffs on Thursday, December 12th at Cole Reserve. With each practice, they are working hard on their batting, catching, and teamwork, building confidence and refining their skills. The anticipation for the big day is high, and everyone is eager to put their training into action on the field.
The past fortnight, Grade 3/4 students have been eagerly investigating and learning about volume and its connection to capacity. As they explored these concepts, they were calculating volumes and understanding how different measurements related to real-world scenarios. With their newly acquired knowledge, the students were diving into open-ended problems, applying their skills to find creative solutions and deepen their understanding of volume and capacity in practical ways.
The Grade 3/4 students are exploring the fascinating world of living and non-living things, focusing on the seven characteristics of living organisms through the helpful mnemonic "MRS GREN" (Movement, Respiration, Sensitivity, Growth, Reproduction, Excretion, and Nutrition). This framework is guiding them in understanding what makes something truly "alive" and allows them to distinguish between living and non-living things. As part of their learning, they’re also diving into the classification of animals, grouping them based on various traits, and gaining a clearer picture of the diversity of life on our planet.
