Tasty Bites Campaign a Hit with Year 7s
Ms Kami Gillick-Lewis
On September 16th, Year 12 students hosted a Tasty Bites food extravaganza event for the Year 7s. The event was organised and hosted by the current Year 12 VM students who are engaging in literacy for advocacy by promoting various food preferences, intolerances and religious and cultural considerations surrounding food in a workplace. The ‘Tasty Bites Campaign’ was a great showcase of the Year 12s public speaking skills and marketing skills as they worked tirelessly to persuade their audiences to vote for their Tasty Bite delight and their Tasty Bite promotional video. Some standout students on the day were Anastasia Piccioni and Luka Conic who received aspiration merits for their superb presentation skills; and Jobe Mattheson for his great teamwork and tidying up skills as well as Axel Finn and Joshua Eastman for their very popular HSP video. Thank you to Heather Dear for assisting the Year 12s in the food preparation and menu cards designed to educate students and to all students and staff who participated in the event. Great work VM students!
