Week 10 Term 3

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of this term, I want to reflect on the past few months. It has been a term filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences.

Our students have continued to demonstrate dedication and a commitment to learning. They have created projects that showcase their passions and interest in Inquiry. Our teachers are very proud of everyone's hard work and effort.

Our students proudly represented the school at sporting events, achieving impressive results in various competitions. Additionally, our students have flourished in STEM, showcasing their skills at the STEM showcase.

The community spirit has been evident through school events, assemblies, and learning experiences. One of the highlights was our Book Week parade and National Bullying Week assembly. I am grateful for the support and involvement of our parents and guardians, who play a vital role in our school community.

SunSmart: Wearing of Hats

The sun protection times from the Bureau of Meteorology tell you the time of day UV levels are forecast to reach three or higher. At these levels, sun protection is recommended for all skin types. In Victoria, UV levels regularly reach three or higher from mid-August to the end of April. As part of general SunSmart strategies, our school:

  • Requires all students and staff to wear hats that protect the face, neck and ears (broad-brimmed or bucket style) and suitable clothing whenever they are outside (e.g. recess, lunch, sport, excursions)
  • It requires children outdoors without hats to sit in a designated shaded area during play times from the beginning of September to the end of April or whenever UV levels reach three or more. NO HAT- NO PLAY

MACSIS Survey - Complete before 20th September

Thank you to families who have completed the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools—School Improvement Surveys (MACSSIS). Last week, the ORIMA research company sent an email to different families. If you received it, please take some time to complete these surveys.

The survey allows families to share feedback about different aspects of the school. Please take the time to complete the survey, as our community’s opinions are critical to understanding how our school is performing. The survey results will guide the ongoing work to improve our school.
