Year 2

Grade 2P have had a fantastic Term 3. We loved welcoming grandparents and special visitors into our classroom to take part in our crafts and maths games. It was clear that the students adored your input and were keen to show off their skills. It was lovely to meet the extended family and share in the students’ achievements. 

The students have been busy writing suspense stories using short sentences, empty words, show don’t tell and the senses. We created a class toolkit which showcased all the potential skills and techniques the students could include when writing a suspense piece. The students have recently started to practise writing information reports on the Langydocus, our plant eating, local yet fictional dinosaur. 

Within mathematics, the students have been exploring the relationship between multiplication, repeated addition and division. The students have quickly progressed with this due to the resources being utilised within the lessons and immediate feedback provided.
