Year 6

Hello from 6S

During the Olympics, our classroom has been brimming with excitement. 6S did a deep dive into the Olympics. Students created intricate dodecahedrons while researching the rich history of the Games, famous Olympians, and original Olympic sports. They also explored fascinating facts about France, further enhancing their understanding of the cultural and historical context of the Olympics.

Last week it was wonderful to celebrate Grandparents Day with enthusiasm. Our classroom activity featured Rebus puzzles, which offered a fun and interactive way for students to connect with their grandparents and test their problem-solving skills. Can you work out these puzzles?

We also took part in Book Week, where students showed off their creativity and love for literature by dressing up as beloved characters. Among the highlights were the Gingerbread Man, Wednesday Addams, and Wally from "Where’s Wally." The costumes brought an extra layer of fun and excitement to our classroom as students shared their favourite books and characters.

On top of all these activities, our students have been working diligently on our school musical. We are thrilled about the upcoming performance and look forward to showcasing the hard work and talent of our students in Week 10.
