Year 5

What has been happening in 5T?

It has been a very busy time inside and outside of the classroom for the students of 5T.  We have been completing fun and engaging childrens picture books. The students have been developing their skills in using interesting vocabulary, a wider range of punctuation and editing techniques. We look forward to reading these books to our buddies and discussing the morals behind these stories. 

In Maths, a lot of fun has been had with the 5T Olympics where we competed in a range of events and calculated averages times/scores and tallied them. We have also built our skills in multiplication and division and investigated the connection between them.  At present the investigation of Earth’s place in the solar system and immigration are our science and inquiry units.

Outside the classroom we have had a range of events including the Footsteps dance program, Grandparents Day, Book Parade and our recent day at EMC getting a taste of life in a secondary college.

We look forward to seeing what the rest of the year brings us.
