Principal's Report

Year 4 Campers

It sounds like we’re on to a winner with the new venue for Year 4 camp.  The feedback from the students and staff has been excellent so we are looking forward to establishing a longer term connection with Mill Valley Ranch.

It was pleasing to hear of the many stories of students conquering some personal fears and worries on camp.  This includes riding a horse for the first time, staying away from home for 2 nights, eating new foods and having a go at new activities.  This is what camps are all about, taking us out of our comfort zone to see what we can accomplish.

A huge thank you to all the staff and parents who organised and attended camp – it doesn’t happen without you!

2024 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey

The information you provide as LPS community members is highly beneficial for guiding our next steps and decision making at the school. It is also an opportunity for us to hear your feedback and respond accordingly.

This will be open until 20th September.  We really value parent input so if you get time, please spend some time completing the survey.

There will be a separate email sent reminding you of the link and code to use to complete the survey.

Father’s Day Stall

Many thanks to the Parents and Friends Association for conducting another successful Father’s Day stall. Always a lot of behind-the-scenes activity to enable the wide variety of gift options presented to the students to buy.

Welcome To Langwarrin Primary School (officially)

We would like to welcome 3 new Education Support Staff to our school.

Aerobics

On Saturday the 31st of August, our 4 aerobics teams, Glitterbugs, Red Diamonds, Black Diamonds and Rubies, competed in the FISAF National Aerobics Championships on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It was a very exciting day and although none of our teams got a podium finish, they all performed the best routines they have ever done, and we are so incredibly proud of them all. Thank-you to all the families who travelled to Queensland to make this amazing opportunity happen. Thank-you to Georgia Gates, Debbie Howson and Jayde Bear for all the work you have done at training each week and for all the organising leading up to this event.
