Numeracy

Capacity - We've been having a blast delving into the concept of capacity! Our recent activities involved estimating the amount various containers could hold. To put our estimations to the test, we used water and measuring jugs to obtain precise readings. In addition, we organised an exciting relay race named 'Capacity Capers.' The students kicked off the challenge with a tub containing 1 litre of water and a sponge. The objective was to transfer the water from one tub to another using the sponge while minimising any water loss. After successfully completing the task, we measured the transferred water and reflected on the reasons behind any water loss. It was a hands-on and engaging way for the students to grasp the practical aspects of capacity estimation.

Interest Reading

As we concluded the year and finished our Reading Group activities, the students were involved in 'Interest Reading'. They were able to choose their own topic, that they had a keen interest in. For example, basketball, animals, graphic novels to name just a few. They spent time reading and researching information, then concluded by creating a Google Slide to share their learning with the class. Here are some photos from their presentations.

Parc Swimming

We had so much fun learning about water safety, Dr ABC, splashing our friends with water and sliding down the awesome Waterslid. Here are some pics from today.
