Lost Property
There are several unnamed items which have not been claimed. On Monday 27 November, a table will be setup outside the Primary Administration Office 8:00am – 8:30am and 2:30pm – 3:30pm for these items to be claimed.
Unclaimed items will be discarded or donated at the end of Term 4.
Reminder: please clearly name (full name or name and surname initial is helpful) all items, so that lost items can be returned to their owner promptly.
Return of Library Books
Due: Monday 27 November
Would parents/caregivers please check with the son/daughter to ensure that all borrowed library books are returned to the LRC by Monday 27 November.
End of Year Class Parties
Primary classes will have their end of year celebrations on Thursday 30 November. Please look out for correspondence from your child’s classroom teacher with further details.
Final Day Arrangements – Friday 1 December
School will finish for the year for all students (Pre-Prep to Year 11), on Friday 1 December at 12.00pm.
Pre-Prep to Year 6 parents attending the Primary Presentation are welcome to take their child/ren at the conclusion of the event at approximately 11:00am, with notification to their teacher.
Remaining students will stay with their teachers with the following arrangements:
- Pre-Prep students to be collected from their classroom at 12:00pm
- Prep to Year 6 students to be collected from Circular Drive at 12:00pm.
Attendance and Absences
Holidays Outside Scheduled Times
With reference to the Student Diary, Attendance and Absences (paragraph 3), please note the following requirement should commencement of holidays be required outside the normal scheduled times for students: -
Except in extraordinary circumstances, permission should not be sought for extra holiday periods or for appointments within school hours. If extraordinary circumstances necessitate those holidays be taken outside scheduled times, the matter must be discussed with, and permission sought from the Deputy Principal.
Illuminate Showcase Event
To celebrate the end of our inaugural Illuminate Program, all parents/carers of students involved in the Illuminate Program (Years 3 to 6 in Primary) are warmly invited to a breakfast showcase event. This event will provide an opportunity to hear what students have experienced during the Illuminate Science, English and Creative Arts programs and view their final products.
This event will begin with a light breakfast, followed by a tour of student work.

Important Events in Final Week
Year 6 Celebration (Service and Function) – Friday 24 November
Our Year 6 students and parents/caregivers have been invited to an end of year Celebration & Function commencing at 5:00pm in the Chapel. All Year 6 students are to assemble in the Rose Garden near Circular Drive at 4:45pm. Please ensure your sons/daughters are wearing their formal uniform for this special occasion.
Christmas Carols Service - Tuesday 28 November
This year, the College is supporting UnitedCare Foster and Kinship with their annual Christmas appeal. The Brisbane Foster Kinship Care Team has 114 children from 0 - 18 years old. The theme of this year’s appeal is, Let all that you do this Christmas be done with love.
How can you show your support?
You can donate Christmas presents or make a donation on their website on the night of the Carols Service (or the lead-up).
Presents
All presents donated will be given directly to Foster and Kinship Children in the Brisbane region.
Presents can be:
- Left under the Christmas Tree on the night of the Christmas Carols Service, or
- Left under the Christmas Tree in Main Reception.
Present suggestions from UnitingCare include:
- Babies and toddlers: rattles, toys, soft toys, blocks
- Young children aged 2 - 8 years: toys, musical instruments, blocks, games, dolls, Barbie dolls, cars, trains, trucks, craft
- Older children aged 9 – 14 years: sport, board games, card games, outdoor toys, stationery, cute child toiletries (makeup, nail polish etc)
- Teenagers 14+ : gift cards, stationery, toiletries, pamper packs, jewellery, purse, hats etc.
*Please ensure you clearly label the present with the age/gender of who you have purchased for.
Donation
Select a bauble on the night of the Carols Service, scan the code to make your donation and hang the bauble on the Christmas Tree.

Primary Presentation Day (Pre-Prep to Year 6) – Friday 1 December
Primary Presentation Day is a celebration of our students’ leaning and personal growth over the school year. We will reflect on the year, with memories shared from Pre-Prep to Year 6, enjoy performances from our music ensembles and students, and acknowledge individual students’ achievements.
All students from Prep to Year 6 are to wear their formal school uniform.
Please note: RSVP is essential to attend. Please register your attendance by Friday 24 November, via link in the invitation, as seating is limited.
