My School NAPLAN Results Comparison

We celebrate our very pleasing NAPLAN results on the 'My School' site which has been released today. We are proud of our hard work and results when we are compared to all Australian students.

The table below shows the average students NAPLAN results when compared to all Australian students.

We sit well above other schools across Australia for Year 3 Reading, Writing and Grammar and above all Australian students in Year 3 for Spelling and Numeracy.

We sit well above other schools across Australia for Year 5 Writing and Spelling and very close to all Australian students in Year 5 for Reading Grammar and Numeracy.

In 2024 we will continue to work towards improving our results in all areas. We will be supported by the Melbourne Archdiocese of Catholic Schools (MACS) who have a new initiative as part of their partnership with Ochre Education across all Catholic schools, to improve the teaching and learning of Numeracy across the system. We will continue to priortise Numeracy from Prep to Year 6. In 2024 we are also introducing a phonics and spelling program called Little Learners Love Literacy for our Prep to Year 2 students and we will have a strong focus on Reading, Grammar and Punctuation in Years 3-6.

We look forward to another exciting year of learning at Trinity and hopefully this is reflected in the NAPLAN results again next year.

Prep Christmas Excursion - Richmond Library

This week the children in Prep enjoyed a Christmas performance at Richmond Library...

Shared Stories Anthology

We are excited to present our students who contributed to the Shared Stories Anthology with their own copy of this magnificent publication. Students from across the school created writing and art work around the theme 'Inspire'. It is very exciting to have many of our students as published authors and they are to be commended for their contributions to this 500 page collection. An additional book has also been published with all Trinity students' art work and stories.

See below for the PDF version of the main anthology with contributions from Catholic primary and secondary schools across Melbourne. You will find some of our students from Years 5 and 6 on the following pages:

Page 116-118 Lucinda, Nicolai, Amy, Jax, Andrew

Page 223- 225 Charlotte, Andrew, Vihaan, Douglas, Lucinda, Anthony

'Meet the Teacher' Morning

On Tuesday, our current students, and all of the new students starting in 2024, had the opportunity to meet their class teacher and the other children who will be in their class for 2024.  There were some nerves and a lot of excitement as we begin to transition and prepare for next year.

All the Best for the Festive Season and New Year

As we approach the end of the year I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our families for your ongoing support of our learning programs at Trinity and for your involvement in so many ways throughout the year. It is only in partnership together that we are able to achieve the full flourishing of our children at Trinity.

I wish all our families a peace filled, holy and festive Christmas season. I look forward to seeing you all again after a long and restful break. Stay safe x
