Secondary School

Secondary Free Dress Day

Hello everybody!

We are having a Secondary free dress day that will be taking place on Wednesday 6 December. You will have to bring a gold coin if you would like to wear free dress. The money will be going towards The Salvation Army

It is just casual free dress, so that means no open shoes, no short shirt or short pants, no shoestring staps. It should be a pretty breezy day and not too cold.

Year 12 Final Assembly

Today we bid farewell to our Year 12 student, Hannah. Having completed her TASC exams, and her schooling career, this impressive young lady is off to a great start. We wish her all the very best for the exciting journey that lies ahead of her.

Hannah's fellow student leader, Jenna spoke about how Hannah has lived the school's core values whilst leading our College as the School Captain over the past year. Jenna discussed instances when Hannah was faithful, generous, courageous, compassionate and how she showed love to others. As someone who doesn't enjoy speaking publicly, Jenna commended Hannah on her incredible ability to inspire and lead the secondary leaders, as well as all our students over the year.

Mrs Schuth addressed Hannah and congratulated her on completing her final year at school, and she did so with all her effort, energy, ability and strength. Mrs Schuth read a passage written by Charles Spurgeon and drawn from the Bible on how Hannah has used her various gifts to achieve in her courses and to deliver the SCC core values. Hannah has served others and the Lord and Mrs Schuth thanked Hannah for her unfailing dedication and contribution to our College.

Mrs Bennett addressed Hannah and felt that over the past year, Hannah has been stretched as she has delved into new ideas and concepts. Mrs Bennett spoke about how Hannah kept calmed under pressure and did not shy away from the challenges set for her. Hannah has brought a gentleness, humility and care to those around her and make a difference everywhere she goes. Hannah has left a lasting legacy here at SCC, and our hope for her is to go forth with hope, joy, arms held wide, feet that itch to dance,  and an enthusiastic faith in God. May God bless you on your way Hannah.

Hannah thanked those who had led her on her journey at SCC and she will always cherish the relationships she has made here at SCC. Hannah ended by referencing Philippians 4: 13 ~ "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
