ARTIST OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to Chloe L from 2SK who has been awarded Artist of the Week for this beautiful creation. 

Chloe’s artwork is inspired by iconic Australian artist Pete Cromer, who creates stylised artworks of animals using painted paper and hand-cut collage. 

Year 2 students observed his artworks and noticed key features. From here, they selected an Australian animal that they would like to sew a puppet of. Chloe drew a template for her cassowary, and then cut out each piece of coloured felt. She carefully sewed all her pieces together to finish her puppet.
