While our Year Seven students are enjoying their swimming lessons next week, we will recognise Years Eight and Nine students for their achievements in their elective courses this semester.

Year Eleven students are in the middle of either their examinations or their alternate program this week.  With more students adopting a blended suite from the ATAR, VET and General courses on offer, we are keen to offer students at this point of their journey the opportunity to add value to their resumes and skill sets.

Following the success of last year’s program, Mrs Renae O’Donnell with the support of Mr Ian Robson, has worked extremely hard to put together a range of short courses, service options and other activities for students to choose from when not engaged in examinations.

As our current Year Twelve students move on to their next steps, many of them have let us know that it was this alternate program that helped them gain a position at TAFE, University, on a traineeship, apprenticeship or in the workforce.  Others have let us know that it was extra things from the alternate program that have helped with successful scholarship applications.
