Principal's Report

Term 4

Hello to the school community! My name is Matthew, and I am the Acting Principal at Concord School until the end of the January school holidays. I have come across from The Austin School, I am very excited to be working with students and staff as we continue through to the end of the 2023 school year.

We have recently welcomed back our Year 12 students from their Sydney camp, and what a fantastic experience it was. It was great to see their photos and hear stories of their adventures through Sydney.

The Year 12 students are now shifting their focus to Graduation on Thursday the 7th of December at the University Hill Conference Centre, where they celebrate their achievements and reflect on their time at Concord School.

With transition planning for our students well underway, we are excited to have students participate in two transition sessions on the 12th and 13th of December where they will take part in their 2024 sections and classes.

We are also looking forward to celebrating this year with our annual Concord School Community Concert. This year it will be held on Monday the 18th of December from

9:30-11:30am. This whole school event will showcase musical and dance performances, followed by a sausage sizzle and market stalls. Please mark this event on your calendars!

Principal's Award   -   James Dobrzynski

James is a remarkable person who has demonstrated outstanding qualities both academically and personally. He consistently demonstrates our school motto 'To be the best you can be'. James always exhibits kindness, thoughtfulness and has a big heart; he often prioritises the well-being of others over himself.

James has become very mature and independent this year, always taking on challenges with a growth mindset and trying new things to build confidence. He has independently applied for extra courses to help him achieve his dream of becoming a mechanic and has lots of different plans in place to help him achieve this.

James has an incredibly strong work ethic. His commitment to academic excellence demonstrates a dedication to his education and sets a positive example for other students in the class.

On top of all this, James also has a great sense of humour and makes others laugh!

His positive demeanour contributes to a more enjoyable classroom for all.

Principal's Award   -   Arsham Shirkhani

Congratulations to Arsham for being chosen to receive the Principal's award this term.

Arsham always does his very best to complete every task he is set, whether in the class or in workplace scenarios. Arsham loved working at the Bunnings BBQ early in the year, showing the new students to the program how everything is done.  He then flourished in his new role helping in the back of house program making the supplies for the school café and providing a Treat Trolley for the Lower Primary students.

During the Year 12 camp Arsham was theperfect student demonstrating all the school values of being respectful, being safe, being responsible and being a learner at all times.

Well done Arsham this award is well deserved.
