State Girls Hoop Basketball Finals

On Tuesday 5 December, ten very excited girls left Plenty Parklands at 8.00am to travel to Dandenong for the State Girls Hoop Basketball Finals.

We were one of 22 out of an initial 300 schools to compete. The girls played four games on the day and although we did not make the elimination finals, we played off in a consolation final.

We were narrowly defeated by two points in two of the four games we played. Our girls lived by the school values all day and were coached by Keven (a past parent of the school). He was so impressed and said we were best behaved on the day and great representatives of Plenty Parklands Primary School.

I am so very proud of the girls efforts this year and they are to be congratulated for their efforts and commitment shown. A huge thankyou to Keven for coaching, Damion (a past student) who took care of the score bench and to all of our wonderful parents that turned up to support the girls.

Go Plenty Parklands!

Girls Hot Shot Tennis

Congratulations to our girls' hot shots tennis team who qualified to play in this year’s State Finals at Kooyong. They played well throughout the day and represented our school with pride.

They finished 3rd in their group pool of 4. They played off in a consolation final. This was the first time that a team has progressed to the State Finals in this sport.
