REPORTING IN XUNO- revised guidelines in S.A.M

(as per Corinne's email 8/3/24)

Incident Reporting

Incident Reports are to be completed via XUNO.

If there is a minor / classroom lead incident, classroom staff will complete a XUNO Report

If there is an incident where a staff member calls the Emergency Line for a major incident classroom staff will complete a XUNO report.

A member of leadership supporting the incident can also contribute to the report.

A leadership team member will follow up with staff members/students after this incident. This will include an offer for staff to undertake a debrief with a member of the leadership team and other support, for example, a review of the Behaviour Support Plan (BSP), educational program review and environmental factors.

The XUNO Incident Report and EduSafePLUS Report can be completed as part of the debriefing process.

PROTECTION FROM THE SUN

The school has submitted an application for Commonwealth Funding to enhance playground facilities throughout the school, which may include the installation of shade sails. Until we receive confirmation of the outcome, it is important to adhere to SunSmart guidelines when using playgrounds with limited shade, such as the Bird's Nest area in Playground 3. As per our JSA  SunSmart Policy we strongly encourage you to follow the guidelines in the policy to keep you and the students safe.

Reapply sunscreen!!!!

Jack Changes the Game: Teaching young children about online safety in the classroom Thursday 21 March @4.30pm

This webinar will focus on the children’s book, Jack Changes the Game and associated classroom resources. Developed by the AFP and ACCCE, and written by notable children’s author Tess Rowley, Jack Changes the Game takes a child’s perspective to online grooming, the challenges faced online and why it is important to talk to a trusted adult if they encounter any problems.

This presentation is intended for classroom teachers of students aged 4 - 8, and supporting school staff only. It discusses themes of online child sexual exploitation and is not suitable for children.
