Instrumental Music Program

In Week 7 students enrolled in Koonung’s Bands Program (Junior Concert Band, Senior Concert Band and Swing Band) and Junior Strings Program performed in their first concert for 2024. For some students, it was their debut performance in high school!

The “Five Note Concert” is so named for the beginner instrumentalists – they put on a concert using the five notes (or pitches) they have learnt thus far, and they sounded terrific.

The beginners also had the opportunity to combine with the senior ensembles and see where their hard work and practice will lead to.
