Team Leader's Message

Term 1

Term 1 has started with a focus on building relationships, routines and a positive climate for learning. We began the year with the ‘Start up program’ which involved students completing a range of activities which were designed to support students to make connections with one another, as well as staff. 

In week 4, we started our Challenge Program. A focus was on teamwork, supporting one another and of course fun!  We are proud of the way students engaged with the various activities and encouraged their peers to do the same. 

Our Discovery Unit this term has centred around the key question ‘What is Culture?’ Students have enjoyed sharing information about their culture with their peers. 

Secondary 7/8 SRC members were busy this term working together to raise awareness for Harmony Week. To acknowledge the week students and staff wore a splash of orange or cultural clothing.

Congratulations to all Secondary 7/8 students on the way they have demonstrated the Concord School expectations this term: Be a Learner, Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be Respectful.
