On Thursday the 29th February, the Epping Views swimming team competed in the Bridge Inn South Swimming Competition at Coburg Olympic Swimming Pool. Epping Views entered 12 students from Year 4, 5 and 6 who competed in a range of events including 50m Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and a medley relay in boys and girls.
The PE team was incredibly proud of all of the students who participated. Everyone showed fantastic endurance, teamwork, support, encouragement, bravery and excellence.
The PE team would like to congratulate Tredan, Sama, Rubi, William, Ethnan, Martha, Atrael, Victor, Hagan, Anishka, Charlotte and Emma for trying their absolute best in their swimming event and successfully completing a 50m lap of the pool. There were some great results throughout the day including:
- Sama finishing 3rd place in under 10s girls breaststroke.
- Hagan finishing 3rd place in under 12s boys freestyle.
- Victor finishing 2nd place in under 11s boys breaststroke.
- Charlotte finishing 2nd place in under 12s girls butterfly.
- William finishing 2nd place in freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly.
- The boys medley relay team finishing 2nd place.
- The girls medley relay team finishing 3rd place.
All students should be very proud of their efforts! Go Epping Views!
Finally, well done to Charlotte, Victor and William who have advanced to the next level in their individual swimming events and Tredan and Hagan who will join William and Victor to compete in the medley relay event at the Division meet next week.
