Religious Education

Proudly presenting our Reconciliation Candidates to the Parish Community.

St Peter's Church is our sacred space where we as a  community of faith gather together  to foster a feeling of belonging and solidarity .

Sunday Gospel Reading

John 2:13-25

Jesus drives out the moneychangers from the Temple and says that he will destroy the temple and raise it up again.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus goes to the Temple, a place where Jesus and other Jewish people worshiped God. He sees some things that do not belong there, and he calls the Temple someone’s house.

Jesus cleared the animals and the people making money out of the Temple. They were making his Father’s house look like a marketplace, not a place to worship God.

A Church is a holy place. Jesus is always present with us, but we are especially aware of his presence at Church.

As Christians, we experience God's presence in many ways. We believe that the places where we gather as a community to pray—our Churches— are holy. We also believe that Christ is present in a special way in the Eucharist, which is reserved in the tabernacle in our churches so that we can pray in Christ's presence.

Embracing Faith whilst Building Community

Proudly presenting our Foundation students having their Wondering Questions on Scripture answered and unpacked by Fr Andrew.

The questions were very insightful and thought- provoking. I was blown away by the depth and insight of their questioning.

We were fortunate enough to have had our Parish Priest Fr Andrew visit our school. This is going to be ongoing as he is scheduled to visit all classes.

Aclass visit by a parish priest serves multiple purposes, all aimed at fostering spiritual growth, religious education, community building, and support for students in their faith journey.

On behalf of the St Peter's Family, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to  the Grade 3-4 students and their families for joining us at the Presentation Mass for Reconciliation on Sunday the 25th of February.

Your presence made the occasion truly meaningful, not only for your child but for our entire community. Your support and commitment to your child's spiritual journey are inspiring and deeply appreciated. It's moments like these that strengthen the bond within our community and reaffirm the importance of faith and forgiveness in our lives.

As we reflect on the significance of reconciliation, let us carry the spirit of unity and forgiveness with us in our daily lives. Together, we can continue to nurture and guide our children on their path towards spiritual growth and understanding.

Thank you to  Mrs Ancilla D'Souza and Mrs Karen Decouto for  coordinating the Morning Tea for us.

Thank you dear parents/carers for your generosity in  hosting such a delightful and scrumptious morning tea.

Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and participation. May the blessings of peace and reconciliation be with you and your family always.

Our Lenten Appeal

Please remember to give your child the opportunity of doing chores at home to earn their non-perishable food items for Vinnies and also send a few coins or any money you wish to donate for Caritas.

Caritas Australia works hand in hand with the most marginalised communities in Australia and overseas, to confront the challenges of poverty.

Please give generously

Thank you
