Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School- an empowered faith community to enrich the world

Welcome to Week 5 Term 1

To provide a vibrant learning culture for our community of learners to thrive, guided by faith and  compassion.

Dear Parents,

We have started our Sacramental program at St Peter's with a parent information session last week for those students preparing to receive the Sacramant of Reconciliation.

This timely reflection on Psalm 51:12 (A clean heart create for me, God; renew in me a steadfast spirit.)  was in my emails this week:

At one time or another, everyone experiences the weariness expressed by the psalmist who sees himself falling short of the goal and unable to reach it alone. The demands of our daily life and the accumulation of shortcomings and failures, big and small, breed discouragement. It is in these moments that the sacramental life of the Church gathers us to encounter the mercy, forgiveness, generosity, and strengthening of God. In the sacraments we are restored from brokenness and given new life and hope. Refreshed, strengthened, and encouraged, we can once again be the light of Christ to others.

I was asked to reflect on this question and I ask you, as we journey through Lent:

How can I encourage others to deepen their desire to participate in the sacramental life of the Church? (https://www.loyolapress.com/)

Welcome BBQ and games

What a fantastic event we had for our inaugural P&F Welcome BBQ last Thursday! The weather did not dampen the enthusiasm and the warmth of the conversation. Thank you to all those who assisted in any way, in cooking and serving our sausages. This was good practice for our next event- a sausage sizzle fund raiser at Bunnings!

If you would like to be part of the P&F, our next meeting is Wednesday 13 March at 7pm on Google meet (meet.google.com/muz-wztf-jfw )

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to St Peter's. Together we make our community great. I hope you all have a great week.
