Year 11 Visit

Written by Gouldie, Mia, Ellie and Sophie

On 28/2/2024, the year 11s (year 10s from last year) came to visit us–Hey.

We were able to get a small idea of what transitioning to the higher part of secondary will be like, things to keep in mind and just how to process it all.

The year 11 students shared their first few weeks of experience at Mildura Senior College and St Joseph’s College. We were able to ask some questions about both the schools and they responded with great answers. Everyone was really enthusiastic to get to know the different houses in other schools, what the teachers and classes were like and the different subjects Senior and St Joseph's had to offer. Although they said the workload is much bigger than what we have now, they all seemed to be getting on well, especially with the support of their teachers. Hey also learned many interesting stereotypes about our school, everyone laughed because we all knew that they weren’t true. Far from it.

Overall getting to speak to the year 11s was a great experience and it was also a great opportunity to hear how they all are going after finishing year 10 at MCC, and it also gave us an idea of what school would be like after MCC. It was nice catching up with old faces and getting to hear all their little stories.

We all pray that God keeps them on his path and that whatever they do in the future prospers.
