SAVE THE DATE - RPS WORKING BEE SUNDAY 17th MARCH

As we strive to maintain and enhance our school environment, we are reaching out to invite you to participate in our upcoming School Working Bee scheduled for Sunday, March 17th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Please register via this Google form. https://forms.gle/6DAHUMdHRXnc6xcm7

The School Working Bee is an excellent opportunity for our students, families, and community members to come together and support our school by lending a hand with various tasks around the grounds. Not only does this event strengthen our school community, but it also fosters a sense of pride and ownership in our shared spaces.

During the working bee, we will tackle a range of tasks including weeding, pruning, sanding, cleaning, and fixing. These efforts are vital in maintaining our school grounds and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Colin Smith, one of our council members, will be facilitating this gathering. Colin is also seeking individuals with skills and expertise in Facilities & Environment to contribute to our ongoing projects. If you have a particular skill set or creative input that could benefit our school's facilities, Colin would love to speak with you during the working bee or feel free to contact him via this email. Colin.Smith3@woodplc.com

We encourage all members of our community to join us for this event. Whether you're a seasoned gardener, a handy person, or simply eager to lend a hand, your participation is greatly appreciated. Please mark your calendars and spread the word to friends and neighbours who may also wish to contribute.

As a token of our appreciation for your support, we will host a free BBQ after the working bee for all involved. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members. In the coming days, we will include information about the working bee in our next newsletter and Compass updates. We kindly ask for your assistance in spreading the word and encouraging participation.

Thank you in advance for your commitment to our school community. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and the quality of our school environment.

RPS INCLUSIVE LEARNING DECK PROJECT BEGINS 18th MARCH

We write to inform you that our school will commence Stage 1 of  the Inclusive Learning Deck Project on Monday, March 18th. This project signifies an exciting development aimed at enhancing our play and learning environment for all students.

As construction begins, please note the following adjustments to access and traffic flow within the school premises:

  • The side gate near the Koor Indigenous Garden and the Foundation entry point will be closed for the duration of the project. There will be no student or parent access through these points.
  • Students will have access to the oval for play, but entry and exit will be via the junior playground.
  • This includes access and collection for Soccer X participants.
  • Safety fences will be erected, and vehicles will enter and exit the site using the designated gate.
  • Please anticipate traffic congestion in the area, particularly around the walkway outside the gate and kinder. We advise walking on the opposite side of the school and using the crossing safely.
  • The project is expected to span four weeks or more.

Rest assured, safety measures are of utmost importance. Students will be briefed on our expectations with workers on-site. The builders, experienced in managing school projects, are committed to upholding compliance and safety standards.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this period of construction. Should you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
