Highlight

Selamat sore 3/4 families!

This weeks newsletter is written by Harriet and Harper from 3/4W.

This week in Maths, we were working on operations. To help with that we played date maths! In date maths, we used addition , subtraction , division and  multiplication. Some of us also tried brackets, squared, and square roots. We also played race to 101, and down to 0 too.

In Writing this week, we have been writing our sizzling starts for our food related stories. Some of us also started writing about our problem using pebble, rock boulder. Our stories will be presented to our 1/2s later in the term.

This week, we had our reading groups again! We answered a template based on the story Magic Ramen by Momofuku Ando. We also looked at character strengths and feelings characters were feeling and using.

This week we worked on character strengths - we did a survey to find out our top character strengths, then we submitted our top 3 strengths into Mentimeter.

We also had our Twilight Sports this week, a yearly highlight. We had great fun doing the sprints and novelty races.

This week we also had our first coding/digital tech session!

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

The Independence Centre
