Appointment of new Principal

As you would have read in the communication from our Director, Joanna French, Peakhurst PS will have a new principal starting the first day next term. Mrs Kristy Bentley is the current Principal at Villawood North PS and we are very excited to welcome her to our community. Mrs Bentley will be visiting the school before the end of the term to meet with me and tour the school.  

Anzac Day

Building works update

The junior toilet renovation is nearly complete! There are still a few things to be installed and cleaned up but we are inching our way closer to the finish line. The building has undergone complete renovation, from the ceiling being removed, tiling the entire wall in line with current standards, replacing all toilets, partitions, wash basins, troughs and windows. We are very proud of how they are looking and know that the children will be able to enjoy using clean, modern facilities. Once the junior toilets are completed work will begin on the senior toilet block. 

Support Class entry

The Support Unit entry has received a much needed update to the old shade cloth that was bordering one side of the bubblers. It now has custom made screens that allow light into the playground, as well as improving the sight lines. A new gate and fence panels either side of the entry, as well as screens on the other side finish it off. 

Parking around our school

I know that in the morning and afternoon parking is at a premium however we need to be mindful of signage in the kiss and ride section near the Bailey Parade pedestrian gates, near Greenlands Ave. Please do not park your car and walk away. Council Parking Rangers do often stop by, so please follow the road rules. 

Also our neighbours in Greenlands Ave are also asking that you not park across their driveways and stop them from gaining access to their homes.
