Wii Gaay Program 2024

Congratulations Karter Jones!

Karter Jones is the first student in the history of St. Joseph's to be invited to participate in the 'Wii Gaay' program.

The 'Wii Gaay' program, (Gamilaraay language for 'The Clever Child') began in the Armidale Diocese in 2002. The program was developed in partnership with the University of New England, Armidale and is aimed at effectively identifying Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who have a high academic potential.

We look forward to hearing about the success of the program from Karter.
