Student of the Week Awards

Presented 23/2/24

Alaya K. - 00M

This award is presented to Alaya for trying so hard in the mornings to come into the classroom with a smile on her face.  Alaya is a good friend to others, and I am so happy she is in Foundation M. Well, done Alaya!

Sienna S. - 1/2K

This award goes to Sienna for her fantastic reading this week. Sienna applied many of the strategies we have been learning about when she reached a tricky word. She was also able to use the pictures in the book to retell the story with lots of detail. Well done Sienna.

Gracie L. - 3/4F

This award goes to Gracie for consistently displaying the HEART value of Excellence. She tries her best in everything she does and it is clear that she loves writing. She carefully planned and drafted a well structured narrative that included a bold beginning to keep her reader interested. Keep up the great work, Gracie!

Alisha W. - 5/6W

This award goes to Alisha for her outstanding efforts during our Rigour Sessions this week. Alisha consistently demonstrates a great example for her peers by getting herself organised and started quickly on her automaticity cards. Wonderful effort Alisha! Keep up the great work!

Eddie W. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Eddie for his wonderful silhouette art. Eddie did a great job blending paint to make a gradient for his sunset sky before painting silhouettes of an emu and flying cockatoos. I absolutely love your art Eddie as it reminds me of outback Australia!

Leila W. - Mandarin

This award goes to Leila for consistently demonstrating enthusiasm and dedication in the Chinese class. I admire your perseverance in learning Chinese, and I am impressed by the Chinese character "福" you wrote in brush writing. Your commitment to helping other students learn is also greatly appreciated. Well done, Leila!
