Senior School

Vermont Secondary College

On the 5th of September, the college held a very successful Community Focus Day for ‘Musicians Making a Difference’. This Australian based charity transforms young lives through the world of music with their main purpose being to inspire the youth and encourage them to make positive choices as they find their own place in the world.

The charity assists young people with overcoming mental illnesses and bringing out the best in them; in order to support the cause, students were encouraged to wear blue as part of their free dress and bring a gold coin donation.

Activities included on the day were a sausage sizzle, nail painting and a brightening and joyful concert by our wonderful teaching staff at the college. A huge shout out to Ms Neilson, Mr Billings, Ms Malander, Ms Richards, Ms Daniels, Ms Tiver, Mr Pinder, Ms Mills, Ms Gerrard, Ms Callegaro, Ms Mitchell, Mr Connell, Mr Stevens, Ms Adams, Mr Mizzi, Ms Arthurson, Mr Gillespie, Ms Levi, Ms Nettleship, and everyone else who gave it their all, to sing and entertain the school during lunch time!

Amidst all the fun, the college raised $1741.70 for ‘Musicians Making a Difference’ on the day, supporting so many young people all across Australia. You can still donate to this wonderful cause at the link below. https://www.mmadcollabs.org/donate

Thank you for the support on the day and we hope everyone had a fantastic time!
