Vermont Secondary College

November is National Novel Writing Month!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a free international event that encourages writers of all ages to write every day.

The Young Writers program is over 100,000 strong. It offers support, helping our young writers to set their targets and track their progress. It's not a competition. There are no losers here!

Vermont Secondary College is in its third year of helping keen writers to participate. We meet every lunchtime in the library.  We keep a tally of words written, already reaching the astounding total of 12,000 words between just six students. Pretty impressive - and a lot of fun!

We'll let you know how we get on this November - and it's not too late to join our creative community. Come and introduce yourself. Bring along your lunch and your imagination. The rest is up to you!
