Wellbeing News

Dear families,

It is hard to believe that we are over halfway through Term 4!  At this time of the year, we begin to build student familiarity with different areas of the school, with the intention of supporting students to feel safe and supported in all places within our school.

As part of our transition plan, from next week onwards, students will be allowed to play in all areas of the schoolyard during recess and lunch times. This helps our students to feel confident in all areas of the yard and to perhaps make (or reestablish) connections with their peers from other year levels.

Mr P will discuss this with students at our assembly on Monday, especially reminding some of our older students to be the role models they are, to take care of and make room for our younger students. We will maintain a Prep - only play space (except during Buddy Time) to ensure that our smallest people have their own space if that is their preference.

We look forward to seeing many happy faces explore different parts of the yard until the end of the school year.

Kind regards,

Norah Jacombs
