Parents and Friends of Our Lady's

Hi OLHC community,

Obstacle Course Day was a success! I want to thank Michelle Rabbito and Natalie Stead for their passion, time and effort organising this first ever event.

The children participated in an obstacle day on Friday, 10 November. It was a hot afternoon and the children enjoyed running through sprinklers, getting squirted with water blasters and coloured powder and enjoying an icy cold icy pole at the end of the day. It was a wonderful and memorable event. A big thank you to all the parents and teachers that helped on the day with set up, helping on the day and packing up. These events are not possible without your help.

From Michelle and Natalie, PFOL Committee members.

Lawn Bowls event has been cancelled unfortunately due to not enough numbers and timing. We are reflecting on that and will organise a Lawn Bowl event at more of a suitable date.

We have exciting news; Some of our fundraising efforts this year have gone towards the mud kitchens that were installed at the working bee on the weekend in the Prep and Grade 1/2 playgrounds. Now, my daughter Sienna (grade 3) is wanting a mud kitchen for their grade 3/4 yard – yes, that is a hint, Mark!

I would like to thank Mark for his wonderful job as Acting Principal for OLHC this year. He has done an incredible job filling in that role. He always makes time for the school community, always there to listen, extremely understanding, always prompt with his emails, last minute meetings, attending to PFOL meetings and volunteering his spare time helping us set up events.

His utmost passion for the school, students and the community is recognised. Mark’s hard work is not unnoticed.  Thank you Mark, for keeping our community together. And his hard work and genuine care was appreciated by us all.

We have the Christmas Carols BBQ coming up, we are needing helpers to prepare and cook on the night and to serve.  Sausages and drinks will be available.

Please email pfol@olhceltham.catholic.edu.au if you can have an hour to volunteer and help.
