The Parents and Friends Committee is an informal, friendly group of interested parents who assist at various school functions throughout the year such as information nights, music nights, school production, parent/teacher interview days etc. P&FA also fundraises with a focus to raise extra funds to use on worthwhile projects that will benefit the college community. A Trip Down Memory Lane (some messages from our long serving members)
Message from Jammy Chia
As I reflect on my journey as a member of the parents and friends association for the past 12 years, I am filled with a profound sense of nostalgia and gratitude. This trip down memory lane has been a remarkable and rewarding experience, marked by numerous milestones and memories that have shaped not only my child's education but also my own personal growth.
Over the years, I've witnessed a remarkable transformation in not only my child but also the entire school community. The friendships and connections formed with other parents, teachers and staff have been invaluable.
From attending meetings to helping organize school events and fundraisers, I have had the privilege of being actively involved in the school's activities. It's heartwarming to recall the countless hours spent volunteering, collaborating with other parents, and working hand in hand as a team.
This journey has reinforced the importance of open communication between parents, teachers and students, and it has shown me how crucial it is to create a supportive and nurturing environment for our children to thrive.
Now, as my child approaches the end of their secondary education, I can't help but feel a mix of emotions - nostalgia for the years that have passed, excitement for the adventures that lie ahead, and gratitude for the wonderful experiences and relationships I've gained. I am confident that the bonds formed within this parent community will continue to endure, even as our children embark on new paths.
In retrospect, this trip down memory lane as a member of the parent community at EDSC has been a remarkable and fulfilling journey. It has been a testament to the power of a committed community, the importance of education, and the value of working together to shape the future for our children. I am thankful for the memories and the growth, and I look forward to seeing how the next generation of parents will contribute to the legacy of our school.

How does one summarise 6 yers of fun, laughter, friendships & camaraderie.
I reflect on our sometimes hectic and sometimes calm events over the last few years, and I realised that I never said thanks for including me in such a generous mix of people.
I thoroughly enjoyed the events where we met and worked together for a combined goal. Organising is always a bit painful. But the results always made up for it. Being able to send out a celebratory email to all involved was all the clap on the back needed.
I am going miss to you all, it’s the end of an era for me.
20 November 2023 – Year 7 Information Evening
PFA will be present to support the school community at the Year 7 Information Evening on Monday 20 November 2023.
We will be serving refreshments and having a friendly chat to welcome new families to the school.
