Grade 2

Term 4 - Week 3

The Grade 1 & 2 students and staff went on an excursion to the Ballarat Wildlife Park during our first week back at school. We spent lots of time learning about all the animals so the students were so excited to see these animals in real life.

The students have been busy writing recounts about their excursion.

Here is some of the students favourite parts about our excursion:

Freddie - I loved seeing lots of different animals, especially the ones I have never seen before.

Charlie - I woke up super early because I was so excited. I couldn't wait to see the fairy penguins because they are my favourite animal. They are even smaller in real life.

Hope - My favourite part was seeing the Tassie Devil because I have never seen one before, only in pictures.

Jade - I enjoyed the bus ride because I got to talk to my friends for two hours.

Aurora - I loved seeing the meerkat presentation because they are really cute. I learnt that meerkats can dig really big holes.

Jack - I really enjoyed feeding the kangaroos. We were given buckets of food and we got to feed them out of our hands.

Indie - The meerkat presentation was my favourite part. I learnt that meerkats are hot blooded like humans.

Lincoln - I loved meeting Bonsai the tree kangaroo because we got to see him from a bigger area, not just the videos we have been watching.

Lilly - Seeing the baby joey was my favourite part because it was really cute and followed it's mum everywhere.
