Taste of Prep

Next Tuesday, our Taste of Prep evenings continue as we welcome the rest of our 2024 Preps. This week it was fabulous to see and hear the excitement of the children as they had the opportunity to explore the school and experience some of what happens at school.  

If you were unable to attend the Taste of Prep evening this week and would like to come on Tuesday, please contact Jane (5382 3000).

We are a Happy Families School!

Our school is subscribed to the Happy Families School Membership! Owned and run by Dr Justin Coulson, one of Australia’s leading parenting experts, the membership offers a wealth of parenting education and resources.

We will regularly share resources available through our membership with you, including Insight Articles and Live Webinars. You can also access your resources at any time using the below URL (unique to our school) and password.

INSIGHTS ARTICLES 

A new Insights article is released weekly during the term and we will include those we feel are relevant to our families with the school newsletter. Insights articles are written by Dr Justin Coulson and other leading experts and provide parenting education and support for a wide variety of traditional and contemporary parenting challenges. You can also access 300+ previous Insights articles on our school’s URL.

PARENT WEBINARS

With our membership, you have access to 4 live webinars a year (one per term). We will announce upcoming webinar details in the Insights articles. You’ll have access to the recording via our school’s URL but as the webinars are live, we recommend you watch them in real time so that you can ask Dr Justin and / or the guest presenter any questions you may have.

Reverse Advent Calendar

SMJ is again participating in the Reverse Advent Calendar. A note was sent home with each child with an item highlighted for them to donate. We don't want this to burden our families; however, we believe it beneficial for our students to understand that a small donation can make a big difference in someone's life. Each note has an item highlighted for that child to donate. If you haven't found the note in your child's bag, please contact the office, and we will send another one home.
