What a term it has been. Over the past ten weeks our students have performed on stage at the Performing Arts Showcase, competed at the Zone Athletics Carnival, travelled to Canberra and the central coast on camp, represented the school at many different music and choir festivals, and filled classrooms with the kind of focused, purposeful learning that makes this school such a wonderful place to be. It has been a full and rewarding term and there is much to be proud of.
None of it happens without the people who make this school what it is. Thank you to our staff for their energy, professionalism and genuine care for every student in their charge. Thank you to our P&C and volunteers for the events, the breakfasts, the discos and everything in between. And thank you to our families for your ongoing support and trust. We hope everyone has a safe and restful break and we look forward to welcoming students back for Term 4.
Students return to school on Tuesday, 13 of October. The last day for students is Thursday, 17 of December. Every day of school in Term 4 is equally important. If your family is planning a holiday over Christmas, please plan to leave after school finishes.
Today, the school marked the Moon Festival with a range of cultural activities. Students created lanterns, and craft tables were set up for moon cake making, paper cutting and folding, and lantern making workshops. Colouring stations, Chinese and Korean calligraphy, and cultural games were available for everyone to participate in. Members of the school community were invited to join in and learn about the significance of this celebration.

Congratulations to Mitchell A and Sinjin W for their outstanding achievements at the Regional Athletics this Monday! Mitchell took out 1st place in shot put, and Sinjin placed 3rd in the 800m. Both will now represent Sydney North at the next stage of the competition, the Sydney North Regional Athletics Carnival, facing other regional teams including Hunter and South West.
We also acknowledge Laura T, Gary M, Ian L, Mason C, Harry R, Gary W, and our Senior Girls relay team (Alicia K, Rainnie L, Laura T, and Ivy Y), who all represented CPS at the event.
We wish Mitchell and Sinjin the best of luck as they progress through.
