Year 10 Art: Revolutionary Portraits on Display

Our talented Year 9 and 10 Art students just completed a portrait project, now on display in the C-Block gallery space until the end of term. For this task, students were challenged to select a revolutionary figure, someone whose impact on society, politics, culture, science, or the arts has shaped the world we live in.

Each student created a realistic or monochromatic portrait using primarily acrylic paint, capturing the essence and influence of their chosen individual. The project encouraged both personal expression and technical skill, allowing students to explore different painting styles and experiment with medium where appropriate.

The result is a thoughtful and diverse collection of artworks that honours powerful changemakers from around the globe. We invite all staff, students and families to visit the gallery space and view these impressive works before the term ends.
