HELLO FROM HAKEA!

Thank you for an amazing term 2 at kinder!

This week in the Hakea program, one of our children requested we bake rainbow cookies. For us, it was an ABSOLUTE YES!

The children worked with Charlotte to make two batches of cookie dough with smarties and sprinkles. The children explored the different ingredients by smelling the scents of the vanilla essence and the aroma of cookie dough forming. We learnt about the kitchen scales, how they work and watched the numbers go up on the scale when measuring the flour, sugar and butter.

The children helped Charlotte rolls the dough into balls and popped them into the oven for 15 minutes. We then enjoyed yummy hot cookies, fresh from the oven, for morning tea. What a great way to start the last week of term 2!
