What's been happening this week?

CELEBRATION DAY!

Congratulations to all of our students on achieving a full tree of birds on our Celebration Tree.  As a reward, everyone enjoyed a visit from Reptile Encounters.  We even got to hold a huge python!

ALL ABOUT DINOSAURS

The 12s created information reports and dioramas to show the information they learnt about dinosaurs.  We invited the Prep students to come and see our work!

5/6 SCIENCE

Our 5/6s enjoyed making pancakes as an example of irreversible change in science!

CLUB DAY

Our 5/6s enjoyed Club Day!  One of the club groups was Science experiments.  Students investigated how soluble common substances are in water. As an extension we made lava lamps.  And, of course, there was a communal lunch too! Lots of fun had by all.

MAKING COLOUR

Today students practised oral language skills and followed sets of instructions to make slime, milk tea and decorate a biscuit. They shared a common experience and were able to discuss how each experience went.  Students held conversations in English, both improving their conversational skills and vocabulary. Lots of great conversations and laughter was had!
