OSHClub News

As Term 2 comes to a close, we’d like to extend a warm thank you to all our wonderful families for another fantastic term at Mount Pleasant Road OSHClub. Your continued support and engagement help make our program the vibrant, welcoming space it is.

A special thank you to Leyla, who has done an incredible job stepping up as Responsible Person while Sophie was on placement this term. Her leadership, care, and enthusiasm have been greatly appreciated by both the team and the children.

Looking ahead to the holidays and Term 3, we have some exciting staffing updates. Amelia S. will be joining our Mount Pleasant Road team as Coordinator. Amelia is a third-year education student at Deakin University and is transferring from Laburnum OSHClub. She will be working alongside Sophie while she continues her final year of studies and will also support the program during Sophie’s upcoming placement.

Sophie will be absent from Week 2 to Week 6 in Term 3 as she completes her final university placement. During this time, Leyla and Amelia will working together in the service to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all children.

Holiday Program Reminders:

  • Families must pack morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea for their children each day. Please note: we do not provide any food during the holidays.
  • Children are welcome to arrive at any time throughout the day—we’re open from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
  • On excursion days, we kindly ask that all children are dropped off by 8:00am to ensure we are ready to head off on time.

We hope you all have a safe and relaxing break. We can’t wait for another great term ahead!

Family Suggestions

At OSHClub, we deeply value our families and community and would love to incorporate more family voices into our program. Whether it's a cherished family recipe we can cook together, a creative art activity, or any other idea, we would greatly appreciate your input!

Feel free to share your suggestions in our journal, located in the parent sign-in area, and we’ll do our best to bring them to life. Your contributions help make our program even more special!

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
