Division Basketball Tryouts:

Thank you to everyone who tried out for Division Basketball.  Teams will be announced in the first week of Term 3.  For those students selected for the teams, training will take place at lunchtime in Week 2 and 3, Term 3.

Term 2 Afterschool Netball:

Congratulations to Marlee, Emmie, Zara, Lilianah, Lacey, Nyah, Isabella S, Oliva and Isabella Z who took part in the afterschool netball this term. Some of these players were new to the game and learned a lot throughout the games.  Others were able to refine their existing skills and support the others. A special thanks goes out to Jess for training and coaching the team each week! Thank you to the various other adults who also assisted along the way.  Without you, these students wouldn’t have been able to take part. 

Term 3 Afterschool Netball:

Students have the opportunity to join a team in the Darroch Afterschool Netball Competition at Llanberris Netball Stadium.  These will be run on Tuesday afternoons (game times expected to be 4:05pm, 4:55pm and 5:45pm) in Term 3 (commencing 29 July 2025). The competition will run for eight weeks. Finals will run in the Grade 5/6 competition and a round robin final day for the Grade 3/4 competition. 

This is not a staffed event, and parents/guardians are responsible for all aspects of their child's participation (transport, supervision, first aid, etc).

Grade 3-6 students (boys and girls) interested in joining a team will need to register via Compass and make payment before 2 July, 2025.  Please note that we will endeavour to include all interested students and preferred days.  Teams will be decided by Claire Morris and will be based around the groups of Grade 3/4 and Grade 5/6.  

The non-refundable initial cost of $30 will need to be paid upon registration closing (2 July, 2025). There will be an additional cost for VNA (insurance) if your child does not already have this and the possibility of an additional team payment (this is dependent on numbers and we expect it to be around $10).  A refund will be given to those not placed in a team.  Uniform will be provided this year and the hire of these is included in the cost. As this is not a staffed event we will require parental assistance at the game to coach and score.  Please indicate on the registration form if you are interested in filling the coaching/scorer's roll.  N.B. teams will not be entered without a designated coach.

What to bring to P.E.:

Just a reminder for all students to bring with them their P.E. shoes, drink bottles and hats to their P.E. classes.  A different pair of sports shoes need to be brought to P.E. as per the uniform policy.  This allows us to keep safe and make the most of our lessons together. Thanks to everyone who continues to remember these.
